STATE GRANTS RENOVATIONS TO FRANKLIN HOMES
Twenty-three Franklin homes have been promised renovations through a rehabilitation program. The city of Franklin has been awarded $350,000 from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority for an Owner Occupied Housing Rehabilitation grant. The grant will be forgiven as long as the owners occupy the home as a primary residence during the affordability commitment. Repairs will include roofs, furnaces, water heaters, handicapped accessibility, electric and plumbing upgrades, and much more. Work on awarded houses is set to begin in October.
