WEST NILE FOUND IN COLUMBUS
The Bartholomew County Health Department urges caution after the West Nile virus was found locally. Officials are focusing eradication efforts in downtown Columbus between First and Water streets. Spokesman for the Indiana Department of Health Brian Price says residents planning to be outside should take precautions like using a repellent containing DEET and limiting outdoor time.
