DRUG DEALER SENTENCED IN JOHNSON COUNTY
A Johnson County jury found 44-year-old Thomas Burton, of Whiteland, guilty of four counts of dealing drugs, including methamphetamine. Prosecutor Brad Cooper and Chief Deputy Joe Villanueva convicted Burton for dealing methamphetamine, as a Class B felony. Later, Burton was also convicted for two counts of dealing Xanax, which are Class C felonies, and dealing hydrocodone, which is a class B felony. Sentencing is set for Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. in the Johnson County Circuit Court. Burton could face as many as 20 years in prison.
