POLICE ARREST WHITELAND STUDENT FOR BOMB THREAT
A male student at Whiteland Community High School was arrested last week by Whiteland Police for leaving a bomb threat in one of the school’s bathrooms. No evidence of a bomb was found. It is not believed students were in any danger, and the student’s intention was a prank. According to Town Marshal Rick Shipp, one of the department’s greatest concerns is the delay of the school notifying officers about the potential threat. The student’s name has not been released. Earlier in the week, the Central Nine Career Center also saw a bomb threat written in the bathroom.
