ROAD CONSTRUCTION ANTICIPATED IN FRANKLIN
Franklin motorists will see a lot of road work this fall. The city will spend $1.1 million in paving 11 city streets and add sealant to Knollwood Farms, Deer Run and streets on the city’s east side. The heftiest project, though, will be the mile-long section of Hurricane Road between Arvin Drive and city limits, which will cost $252,000. Reportedly, no road will be closed for more than a week. The city decided to pay an additional $800,000 on repairs and pavement for the much-needed maintenance. Crews will begin the work in October and are scheduled to be finished before December.
