US 31 SEMI CRASH INJURES TWO
A Johnson County crash involving a car and semitrailer injured one and seriously injured another person Tuesday afternoon. Police say around 5 p.m., a semitrailer was backing up to drop a load of lumber to a customer at U.S. 31 southbound and County Road 250 South. A car driven by John Nims, 33, of Indianapolis, struck the truck and was briefly trapped in the car. Nims was flown to an Indianapolis hospital with serious injuries. His 6-year-old daughter Ashlyn Nims was transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, Delmar Graber, 60, of Cannelburg, was not injured. No one was cited in the incident.
