GREENWOOD CITY CENTER SET TO OPEN IN MARCH
The new Greenwood City Center has reached a halfway point in the renovations to the building. A four-story consolidated city hall will be at the corner of Main and Madison streets. The crew's next project will be replacing windows with energy-efficient glass to reduce the costs of heating and cooling. The city of Greenwood purchased the former Presnell building for $1.75 million and set aside $4.2 million for the renovations. The projected opening date for the Greenwood City Center is March 2014.
