COURT WORKER FACES MULTIPLE THEFT CHARGES
The former office manager and reporter for Bartholomew County Superior Court I has been charged with five counts of theft. Maj. Todd Noblitt of the sheriff’s department says Gail Povaleri, 63, is accused of accepting payment for court transcripts that were never completed or submitted. Povaleri turned herself in Wednesday and was promptly released on a $25,000 surety bond. It's possible some appeal cases may have been affected by her actions. The investigation is ongoing.
